SHENZHEN-BASED Dongjin Telecommunications Technology Co Ltd recently unveiled the nation's first voice-enabling computer telephony bus card, which allows voice recognition, digital voice-text translation and data processing.
The new technology can be used in call centres and other voice processing situations.
Experts believe the new CT-bus card technology adds a new dimension to computer telephony integration (CTI). The company has already developed a host of CTI technologies to enable computer telephony, voice processing, video conferencing and voice messaging.
Engineers with Dongjin say that interactive voice responding (IVR) systems can be developed on the basis of the new CTI technology. IVR systems, backed up by a large database, can offer voice-based information services including user-computer interaction and text-voice translation.
