Local MTV win awards

THREE MTV programmes produced by Shenzhen received gold, silver and bronze medals respectively on June 1in a nationwide MTV competition that was held in Beijing.
The gold-prize winning one, The Mangroves, focuses on the city's mangrove natural reserve. The programme calls on people to protect the environment.
The Evergreen Banyan, which bagged the silver medal, pays homage to late leader Deng Xiaoping.
