11. 被动语态
被动语态用于：强调动作承受者为中心；动作者不重要，不明显或不愿说出；做客观的说明。
The book was given to me by Mr Stone.
这书是石头先生送给我的。
Most Americans never use passive voice because it is just too wordy. The active voice (主动语态) is more direct. They would simply say, "Mr Stone gave me the book."
When was the document faxed?
那份文件是什么时候传真的？
I think you should get your hair cut before you go to the interview.
我认为你去面试之前，应该把你的头发理一下。
It is believed that the economic situation is critical.
大家相信经济形势很危急。
How often am I supposed to have the oil changed?
我应该多久换一次机油？
