Nine jailed for crash
|
NINE people were held responsible for an accident happened last year in which all 79 people aboard a bus died when it fell into the Liujiang River from a local bridge, according to the primary ruling passed by the Intermediate People's Court in Liuzhou City in South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on June 4.
The nine people were given imprisonment terms ranging from six and a half years to three years on negligence charges.
In late March, 14 local government officials, including the mayor of Liuzhou City, were disciplined.(Alfred Zhang)
