Omron opens SZ factory

OMRON Corporation from Japan, an international conglomerate and a Fortune 500 corporation, opened a new factory in SZ on Tuesday.
The new factory, called Omron Electronic Components (Shenzhen) Limited and with an investment of US$25 million, is located in Pingshan Township, Longgang District, adding to the 300-plus Japanese-invested companies already operating in SZ.
As Omron's fifth factory opened in China, the SZ Omron factory will engage in manufacturing state-of-the-art control components such as relays, switches, sensors and interface units. Its first production year's sales volume is expected to reach US$40 million, and the tax it will pay for the same year will be around 25 million yuan (US$3m).
