A GLOBAL gathering of experts opens today here in Shenzhen.
The International Think Tank Forum has brought business leaders and many of world's leading researchers in economics to discuss the new economy and its impact on Asian countries.
Jointly sponsored by the China Development Institute (CDI) and the National Institute of Research Advancement of Japan and two other local partners, this is the second global forum organized by CDI, China's leading think tank. This forum, focusing upon the new economy, demonstrates common interests of Asian countries including China and Japan in seeking new opportunities for development in the new economic areas, according to CDI officials.
This year's forum is attracting special attention because of the many high-level participants. Researchers and leaders from over 50 leading business and research organizations will attend the gathering.
According to organizers, this forum will present comprehensive studies of the new economy and new perspectives of policy development in Asian countries. Subject speeches will cover information technology development, ways to prevent financial crises and corporate strategies in the new economy.
The two-day forum will end on Saturday.
The China Development Institute was established in 1989 and has served as a think tank to provide advice on policy making and economic research.
