'Hope' in Beijing
|
THREE hundred Shenzheners staged a concert, Hope, in Beijing on Friday and Saturday and won wide acclaim from the audience.
As a tribute to the 80th anniversary of the CPC, the concert featured famous singer Dai Yuqiang, Frederic Chopin international piano competition winners Li Yundi and Chen Sa, as well as people from all works of life in Shenzhen, under the baton of musician Zhang Guoyong.
The concert was composed of two parts: the first one is "Yellow River", a piano concerto already widely known in China, and the second one, Hope, a symphony orchestra recently created in Shenzhen.
The first part reminded the audience of the glorious history of the Chinese revolution, and the second part expressed Shenzheners' aggressiveness and vigor in the new era.
The familiar music pieces of "Spring's Story" and "Stepping into the New Era" stroke a deep chord in the audience and won a warm applause.
"The music is beautiful and so inspiring that we can see the hope in Shenzhen's future," some members of the audience said.
