Konka TV gets green approval
|
COLOUR TV sets produced by the Konka Group were recently awarded the China Environmentally Friendly Product Certificate after passing stringent checks conducted by the State Environmental Protection Administration.
According to the certificate, with its advanced technology, Konka colour TV sets now emit a level of X-ray radiation that does no harm to humans.
Back in November 1998, the group was accredited by the ISO14001 Environment Management System as an environmentally friendly enterprise, the first domestic colour TV producer to be recognized by DNV (Norwegian ship classifier).
Konka has long been known for its efforts in environmental protection. It invested 300,000 yuan (US$36,000) in building sewage and production waste disposal facilities. It also has set strict standards in its production of televisions to help keep the environment clean.
